Catharsis Day

OK, today totally ran me through the ringer.

It was P.’s birthday today. But one of our housecats managed to escape last night when a gust of wind blew a door open, so I spent a good amount of time gnashing my teeth over that. Plus, there’s some whacked shiznit going down at work, which basically puts me in the position of delivering some very bad news to some folks.

At the end of the day, the cat was recovered (but I got some lacerations of the hand in the process). So at least karmically things are on the upswing. Plus I get to keep my job. W00t.

Driven to distraction

Work has been all about coding lately, rather than writing. All you have to do is look here to see what I’ve been coding: the new blog platform for my day job. It’s a work in progress.

After a rousing mass and a pancake breakfast at church (cooked with bottled water, as a watermain blew), I grabbed prints of some of my “urban desolation” photo collection and went over to Holy Frijoles in Hampden. We’re having a Baltimore Flickr Group photo exhibit there through December, with a reception on November 22. That’s a Tuesday.

(Maybe we should do a Blogger meetup at the reception?)
